How We Work Together

Technician Development – Recruit, hire, train, retain. We help you set up a technician pipeline to serve your current and future needs.

Scholarship Fund – Grow the next generation of workers. Set up a scholarship fund in your company’s name and attract new employees.

Placement Services – Interview and hire talent directly. Industry partners would create a scholarship fund through the NTC Foundation to cover the cost of the new hire. The employer will make three donations of $2,500 to the Foundation:

Time of hire: $2,500
90 days: $2,500
6 Months: $2,500

Testimonials

“I really had no interest in going to college even though some of my friends were attending IU (Indiana University) and other schools,” said Conner Cooney. “I was looking for something different. I loved working with my hands and wanted to do something challenging. The National Transportation Center was ideal for me.”

“I think what’s exciting for a company, like Great Dane, is the desire and passion of the NTC to attract, train and, retain good quality people for our industry.”

~ Jeff Weber

“I think that Holly and I both agree that the NTC made a significant difference in the life of our son,” said Pat Cooney. “To be honest, I can’t remember a time during his school career that I saw him more motivated and engaged in learning. The hands-on and small group approach to teaching and learning that the NTC employed was exactly what Connor needed. NTC built not only Connor’s skills but also his confidence.”

“The National Transportation Center is focusing on filling the need to train people for careers in transportation, specifically, in the area of trades.  The need for technicians, drivers, and others is crucial and without the efforts of organizations such as this, the gap would adversely affect every one of us.”

“As a student of the NTC, I have learned far more than I even thought possible in terms of what can and will go wrong with a transportation vehicle, and how to properly fix it. The way this program is designed is different than any other class I have taken. I love the hands-on training!”

“I have been involved in various positions up to and including President of companies in the Transportation Industry since 1972.   As our equipment has improved and technology has played a larger role in our day to day operations, the need for qualified technicians and continued training of technicians has become a very real priority in our companies.  The NTC is fulfilling a very integral role in the training of technicians for an industry that has a definite need for.”

“NTC uses a nice mix of online and hands-on training that teaches you skills and then lets you apply them. I enjoy the hands-on, real-world experience, as well as the tips provided by the professionals that are teaching me.”
